The Agnes M. Lindsay Trust and the MaineGeneral Medical Center Auxiliary have awarded funds to subsidize the purchase of desperately needed dental suctioning and lighting equipment at the Family Medicine Institute and Maine Dartmouth Family Practice. Residents at both sites learn basic dentistry procedures under the supervision of a community dentist to prepare for primary care practice in underserved areas, and patients benefit through access to dental care they would otherwise not receive. The new equipment will significantly improve both resident education and the comfort and safety of our patients. We are so grateful to both foundations for their support!
