Writing a bio about myself is not my favorite thing but the attempts made by others are possibly even more embarrassing. My basic facts are that I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I attended University of Dayton for undergrad where I studied chemical engineering until realizing that my soul was dying from lack of human interaction. I made the switch to medicine (which has proved to be a much better fit) and returned to Cincy for medical school.
I ventured to Maine for residency which turned out to be a far more fun and fulfilling experience than I could have imagined. I continue to be amazed by how wonderful, genuine, and inspiring the faculty and residents at Maine-Dartmouth are. As residency came to a close it was pretty clear that I was too spoiled by the medical community here to leave. I happily joined the Waterville-based faculty where I get the opportunity to teach and to practice full spectrum family medicine. What more could you ask for?!? I am particularly interested in adolescent medicine, women’s health, public health, family planning, and integrative medicine.
When I’m not working or sleeping, I’m most likely enjoying time with my kiddos, doing art projects, swimming (ideally in the beautiful Maine lakes) and spending time with my favorite people. As I reflect, I feel very lucky to say that most of my favorite people are my colleagues at Maine-Dartmouth and graduates of the program. It is a truly special place!
